This photo of a blue shark (Prionace glauca) was taken in the Azores whilst I was working as a dive guide. They are, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful elasmobranchs, with slender bodies and a stunning blue hue to their dorsal surface. They are very often accompanied by a couple of pilot fish and are mainly found offshore or on underwater banks.
